Pneumonia

Last week, Claire came down with a cold.  She seemed to be on the mend, but I noticed over the weekend she was starting to develop a really "productive" cough. 

Then, this morning, when she woke up, I heard it--the "crackles."

Claire's doctor has always told me that pneumonia sounds like little crackles.  Up until this morning, I had never known exactly what I was listening for.  But once I heard them, I knew. 

We took her to her pediatrician, and sure enough, the diagnosis was confirmed.  We now have antibiotics and an inhaler, as well as a follow-up visit scheduled for tomorrow. 

Fortunately, Claire acts like she is feeling just fine.  A little pneumonia isn't going to bring this girl down!
