We have had our cat Oliver forever. We got him years before Claire was born. For the longest time, Claire pretended as though Oliver didn't exist. She showed no interest in him and would pull her hand away each time he tried to get her to pet him.
Recently, though, Claire has LOVED petting Oliver. She loves feeling his soft fur and his cold, wet nose. Last night, she had quite a bit of fun scratching him behind his ear.
