It's only a short 3.5 hour drive from Atlanta, and with its beautiful scenery, excellent restaurants and history, I can't believe it has taken me this long to make it there!
While there, we visited the Biltmore Estate, completed in 1895 for George W. Vanderbilt. It was every bit as majestic as the picture below suggests.
Having watched Downton Abbey, we really could appreciate how the house operated. The gardens were just beautiful, too.
Claire wanted to know when we could move in.
Maybe one day, Claire Bear . . . first, we must work on becoming Lottery Winners. ; )
