This evening, we took down our Christmas tree and put all of our decorations away.It's a little sad closing the book on Claire's first Christmas, but I'm grateful that we were able to make so many wonderful memories:
- Picking out our Christmas trees on the day after Thanksgiving;
- Listening to the Muppets, Alvin & the Chipmunks, and She & Him Christmas albums;
- Going Christmas shopping together while Daddy and Uncle Chad went to the SEC championship game;
- Wearing reindeer pajamas;
- Making tactile Christmas cards and "Bluedolph" at the Center for the Visually Impaired;
- Attending the FOCUS Christmas party;
- Getting her first wheelchair;
- Spending Christmas Eve eve with some dear friends;
- Spending Christmas Eve at Uncle Chad's house
- Smiling at all of the clothes Nana, Aunt Lucy and Aunt Becky brought (I swear, she's going to have a career in fashion!)
- Having her baby dedication on Christmas day;
- Traveling to Canada for the first time;
- Meeting so many nice Canadian friends.
I sure hope all of the happiness and joy we experienced at Christmas is just a taste of things to come in 2012. Here's to hoping 2012 has some good things in store for Miss Claire!
