Yesterday, we went to the FOCUS Christmas party and had such a wonderful time. FOCUS is a non-profit organization that serves children with special needs and their families in the metro area.
We were lucky enough to spend time with our good friends, Brittany and Thomas, and their sons, Aaron and James. Like Claire, James has hydrocephalus, and also like Claire, he is insanely cute. We also enjoyed getting to know Brittany's sister, Crystal.
The party was a hit! There was a Secret Santa shop where children were able to pick out gifts for their parents, a music therapy session where musicians played Christmas carols and allowed children to accompany them on various instruments, games, and lots of yummy food.
Santa made time in his busy schedule for an appearance at the FOCUS Christmas party as well, and Claire had the opportunity to sit in his lap and tell him what she would like for Christmas.
Her Christmas wish? World peace and a red wagon.
What a thoughtful little girl.

This Santa was the real deal!! He was so incredible with Claire. He kept whispering "you are wonderfully made" and "Jesus loves you, little one" to her. It warmed my heart.
